The Y is working to help ensure that our community has access to fresh, nutritious food through Mobile Pantry food distribution programs in partnership with Harvesters. As the pandemic continues to affect employment and strain individuals and families, the program addresses a growing need for those unsure where their next meal will come from. Participants stay in their vehicles while volunteers load fresh produce, canned goods and a variety of other non-perishable items into their vehicles. All in need are welcome.

Kids get hands-on cooking experience and learn healthy habits in the Kids in the Kitchen Virtual Cooking Class, a program from the 4-H Student Nutrition Advisory Council. Sessions start Feb. 1. Email NKC@KansasCityYMCA.org or call 816.300.0531 to register.

The YMCA of Greater Kansas City Winter Basketball Tournament is available to those in Grades K through 5th.

The tournaments will be held at various locations in the KC Metro Area.

Join our STEAM program (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math) using hands-on education exercises with LEGO building blocks. Children can engage in the world of engineering and science while stimulating communication, creativity, and critical thinking skills. This program allows children to put collaboration to practice while having fun at the Y!
