The group will create fairy wine bottles — perfect decor for summer patio parties or for your favorite room at home. The materials will be supplied to those who preregister at the Welcome Center and pay a $5 materials fee for this project. Registration for a craft kit must be made by May 17. No refunds are possible after that date. Note that if you have a specific wine bottle you want to use, you can bring your own. Otherwise, a wine bottle will be provided as part of your kit.

Amelia Earhart Birthplace Museum. Go back in time when Amelia lived in Atchison, Kansas. This is where her dreams began and where she lived from 3 to 12 years old. Be immersed into the mystery of Amelia Earhart. Meet at 9:15 a.m. in the Paul Henson Lobby to carpool. Lunch following the tour. Register by May 12, 2022

A prominent Chicago litigator, Amelia has been fired for not compromising her principles and then punching her partner for a misogynistic comment. What next? A project to make amends, one by one. You are welcomed to bring your lunch or snacks. You are welcomed to bring a guest with you.

Spend the day strolling Colonial Garden’s orchard and bramble patches for fresh, seasonal fruits. Kansas City’s best u-pick experience is just right down the road, and the garden’s crop is ripe for the picking. Register by May 12, 2022. Meet at 9:45 a.m. in the Paul Henson lobby to carpool.
