Member Orientation

When you join the Y, you receive up to three one-on-one sessions with a Y Healthy Living Coach as part of Member Orientation. Sessions will help you find the best path for your wellness journey. They're personalized to help set fitness, wellness, and lifestyle goals that are important to you.

Personal Training

Get customized recommendations and expert attention that will help you stay motivated and achieve your goals. Our Personal Trainers are nationally certified and have special areas of expertise. Choose in-person or virtual options for both Personal Training and Y Weight Loss classes.

Y Weight Loss

 

Get support making lifestyle changes to lose weight and improve your overall health with our new 12-week, small-group structured Y Weight Loss program.

Cooking And Dietary Programs

 

Learn healthy habits, new recipes and simple changes that can make a big difference in your well-being.

Calvetta's Story

"I initially went to the Linwood Y to inquire about Bitty sports for my then 2-and-a-half-year-old son. As soon as I entered, I noticed signs advertising nutrition classes, healthy living coaches, exercise classes and a program called Kids Zone. At that point, I weighed 221 pounds, had low self-esteem because of my weight, and zero motivation. The staff was so incredibly kind and encouraging! They gave me a seven-day pass to try out the programs. Well, here I am nine months later and 45 pounds lighter! I'm in charge of my life at the Y. "

 

Fitness Challenges

Fitness challenges are a fun way to meet your goals and stay motivated. Work as a team to accomplish goals through group training sessions, which include new exercises and nutritional guidance. Measure your progress with pre- and post-program assessments and see how you stack up against the competition. Formats for fitness challenges may vary by center.
