Role: 2015-2016 Site Supervisor, Siegrist in Platte County

I’ve worked in Y Club since: 2012

Background: I have attended University of CM in Warrensburg, Mo. and Maple Woods Community College in Kansas City, Mo., where I studied Early Childhood Development and Child Psychology.

What I like most: The bond I have made with so many families and the funny comments the kids make.

“Children need to know that they are in a safe environment, and what I strive to provide is a warm welcoming environment for our families, while enriching the kids’ minds.”

Role: Site supervisor, Bluejacket/Flint in Shawnee Mission

I’ve worked at Y Club since: 2015

Background: George Washington University, Washington DC, BBA in finance. Also attended Rockhurst College.

What I like most: The enrichment programs.

“Y Club is one of the best decisions families can make for their child to develop them as a student and a person because of our programs, curriculum and training. Y Club enhances students’ school work and social responsibility.”

Role: 2015-2016 Site Supervisor, Indian Valley in Blue Valley

I’ve worked at Y Club since: 2015

Background: Bachelor of Science in Recreation, Parks, and Tourism Administration (emphasized in Youth and Human Services, Camp & Youth Programming) from Western Illinois University

What I like most: I incorporate a lot of character building, teamwork and relationship building throughout the year at my Y Club program. Seeing those three things happen throughout the school year and watch the children grow and learn is amazing!

“We have a lot of fun throughout the school year, but we also learn, we work together, we build relationships, we challenge each other, and we create opportunities for growth, and we make sure that we do that using our four core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility.”
