The Mid-America Regional Council is hosting Mass Application Events in Clay, Platte and Jackson counties throughout the months of March and April for YMCA Head Start programs. This event is at Gladstone Community Center, 901 N. Holmes Street, Gladstone, MO 64118.

Applications will be completed on a walk in basis. Last application is taken at 3:15 p.m. No appointment is necessary.

Please join us on a trip to The Coterie Theater to watch "Only One Day A Year," a play inspired by overlooked Kansas City history. Two stories told in tandem: In the early 1960s, in Kansas City, Rose James uses smarts and determination to try to defeat the racial segregation policy that allowed blacks to visit Fairyland Park only one day each year. Coffee and donuts for breakfast while waiting on bus.
 
Depart from Linwood: 11 a.m. Showtime: 11:45 a.m. Lunch will be served upon return at 1:30 p.m.

As part of the Y's focus on social responsibility, the events encourage all ages to give back in the spirit of Dr. King and make it a day “on,” rather a day “off” from work or school.

Join us at the Linwood Y for a week full of fun. Your youth, ages 11-18, will experience S.T.E.A.M (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics) enrichment activities and recreation. Breakfast, lunch and a snack will be served. Scholarships and sibling discount available.

To combat historic health inequities in aquatics, GEHA and its partners will provide up to 650 students with free swim lessons and equipment through the Joe Delaney Learn to Swim Program, Presented by GEHA. Lessons will focus on water safety and increasing access to aquatics.
