Gain the skills to save a life in American Red Cross Lifeguard Training. In this course for ages 16 and older, learn how to keep people safe in and around the pool. The comprehensive course offers up-to-date information on how to guard by anticipating and preventing problems before they occur and how to take action to help those in danger when necessary. The course includes accident prevention, guarding techniques, pool management and even more safety skills.

Join us and take aim with Robin and his band of merry men and women as they champion the underdog and fight for justice. Laughs, romance and plenty of arrows fly in this all-out comic adventure. Meet at 11:30 a.m., in the Paul Henson lobby to carpool.

Kick-off the Halloween season with Swim with the Pumpkins at the Paul Henson Family YMCA! This free, family-friendly spooky event features sessions of open swim in the Y's pool with lots of inflatable pumpkins!

The event is open to YMCA members and the community! Participants will have the chance to win a real pumpkin and take home an inflatable pumpkin or real pumpkin as well.
 
Each session is 25 minutes. Registration is required for this event. Register online, visit the Welcome Center or call 913.642.6800 to sign up for a session.
