Join friends for a day of chance at the Prairie Band Casino for your ultimate gaming experience. This trip includes a fun day with your friends, enjoying a lunch buffet and a spacious gaming floor featuring over 1,100 slots and more than 30 tables. Whatever your game is, it's more exciting at Prairie Band. There will also be time to shop at the Prairie Band Gift shop, which offers a unique blend of gifts. Reserve your spot by payment through the Olathe Y's Welcome Center. Space is limited to 52 spots and no refunds can be issued after January 3rd, 2019 unless we can find a replacement for your spot. Must be 21+ and have a valid driver's license to go on this trip. $35/per person includes roundtrip transportation on a motor coach, lunch buffet, $10 Prairie Cash, and Staff Escort if paid by January 3rd, registration after $40/per person.

Our December field trip takes us by comfortable motor coach to Hermann, MO at the height of its Christmas-decorated best. Some highlights of our tour of the center of Missouri's wine country:

  • Christmas Traditions at the Living History Farm, presenting the unique history of the German immigrants who settled the area.
  • Tasting of six wines at Hermanhoff Winery, one of 100 Hermann buildings on the National Register of Historic Places.
  • Guided tour of the historical area, with a stop at Sugar Momma's
  • Lunch at the Hermann Cottage.
  • Christmas Tablescapes at the historical Rotunda building in the park.
  • Tour and tasting at the Wurst Haus.
The bus leaves the Olathe Y at 7 a.m. and returns about 9:30 p.m.
 
Cost: $118/person till Oct. 22 ($128 thereafter) plus $1-$2 driver gratuity. Includes motor coach transportation; all admissions; lunch (but not supper); staff escort. No refunds possible after Oct. 22.

Always...Patsy Cline is more than a tribute to the legendary country singer who died tragically at age 30 in a plane crash in 1963. The show is based on a true story about Patsy's friendship with a fan from Houston named Louise Seger, who befriended the star in a Texas honky-tonk in 1961, and continued a correspondence with Patsy until her death. The musical play, complete with down home country humor, true emotion and even some audience participation, includes many of Patsy's unforgettable hits such as CRAZY, I FALL TO PIECES, SWEET DREAMS, WALKING AFTER MIDNIGHT.

The show's title was inspired by Patsy's letters to Louise, which were consistently signed "Love always... Patsy Cline."

Transportation is on our own; parking is free.

To Kill a Mockingbird is primarily a novel about growing up under extraordinary circumstances during the 1930s in the Southern United States. Our full-sized motor coach will leave the Olathe Family YMCA around 6:30 a.m. on November 11 for an Ozark Mountain Christmas. First stop is lunch at group favorite Braum's, in Ozark, MO. After lunch, we will head to the hotel to check in. Afterwards, the Titanic Museum awaits us. From there, we will head to the Dolly Parton's Stampede for preshow and dinner. After a great show, we will depart for a drive thru light display. Day two begins with a hot breakfast followed by the Clay Cooper Christmas show. We'll enjoy lunch onsite at the Hughes Brothers before the show. On our way home, the group will enjoy dinner at the famous Lambert's. We expect to arrive back in Olathe around 10 p.m.
 
Until, September 10, cost of the trip is $440 per person for double occupancy, $470 thereafter. It's $500 per person for single occupancy until September 10, $530 thereafter. The cost includes everything described above except for lunch at Braum's. Driver gratuity ($6 suggested per person) is also additional. Minimum 40 sign ups needed. No refunds after September 10.
