Construction Begins on Kirk Family YMCA

Construction kicked off on the Kirk Family YMCA at the former Lyric Theatre building on Friday, November 16. Donors, volunteers, members and the community gathered for a celebration on the front steps of the historic Lyric building. A short program emceed by Lara Moritz from KMBC 9 News included remarks from Y leaders, city officials and partners on the project.

Construction Set to Begin on New Kirk Family YMCA at Former Lyric Theatre

The YMCA of Greater Kansas City will host a Construction Kickoff Celebration for the new Kirk Family YMCA. Donors, volunteers, members and the community are invited to gather at a special celebration at 11:15 a.m., Friday, Nov. 16 on the front steps of the former Lyric Theatre building at 1029 Central St.
