It is based on research conducted by the Royal Center for Enhancement of Late-Life Function at Boston University. The program is conducted in 8 two-hour sessions which consist of group discussion, problem-solving strategies, videos, gentle exercise and more. Older adults learn positive coping methods to reduce the fear of falling and remain active and independent. The class size is between 8-12 participants, and the program is open individuals ages 60 and above who are residents in Platte County.
Session runs 10 a.m. to noon every Thursday, July 27 through September 14.
