Our Y and the Autism Society - The Heartland have partnered together to offer a swim and safety program to reduce the risk of drowning among children on the autism spectrum. Through this program, participants are paired with a certified swim instructor for one-on-one lessons that focus on basic water safety and swimming skills. Lessons are tailored to meet the child’s individual abilities and goals.
