Children and young adults with special needs can learn to swim at the Y. Classes are modified to work with each participant on individual needs while learning basic water safety and swimming skills.
Adaptive Swim Lessons maintain an instructor to participant ratio of one-to-one or one-to-two.
Our Y and the Autism Society - The Heartland have partnered together to offer a swim and safety program to reduce the risk of drowning among children on the autism spectrum.
