Become a Member of Platte County Community Center North

Welcome to Platte County Community Center in Platte City. The Platte County Community Centers, operated by the YMCA of Greater Kansas City, are possible thanks to a voter-approved half-cent sales tax to fund Platte County Parks and Recreation. Cardio and strength training units, an indoor pool, steam room, dry sauna, whirlpool, indoor walking track and Kids Zone are just a few of the amenities offered to members.

COOL Swim Team

Platte County Community Center North is proud to partner with COOL to provide a USA Swimming team in Platte City. 

 

The COOL Swim Team is a year-round USA Swimming competitive swim team. It offers high quality professional coaching, technique instruction, and stroke development for young athletes of all ages and abilities. And along the way, everyone has a good time.

 

The COOL team began swimming at Platte County Community Center in April 2025 after the Y's Blue Wave Swim Team ended. COOL operates independently from the Y, and the Y provides space for practices and meets.
