Certifications: Master's degree in Health, Physical Education & Recreation from Emporia State University
Hobbies: Spending time with family and friends, going to sporting events, watching sports and staying active

Northland Sports Director

Certifications: Human Resource and Business Management training, State of Missouri High School Sports Official, Certified NFL Flag Football Official
Hobbies: "Cooking, eating and sharing family time together as well as sports and video games when I can."

Hunter Turley,
Aquatics Director

Hometown: Kansas City (Wyandotte County)
Y Start Date: February 2018 and returned in January 2023
Certifications: Graduated from Piper High School in 2018, Kansas City Kansas Community College in 2020 with a focus in business, and am currently wrapping up my bachelor's in business administration at Ottawa University. I was also a lifeguard at the Providence Y in 2017, where I was promoted to Head Guard. I then transferred to the North Kansas City Y in 2019 and was promoted to Aquatics Lead that year.
Hobbies: Weightlifting, chess, soccer, motorcycles
Favorite part of working at the Y: "Creating a culture that revolves around safety and accountability. Lifeguards are the highest-qualified representative to respond to emergencies at any facility and we need to ensure that they are given the proper training, attention and care to make certain that they are always ready for action."
