Healthy Kids Day® is the Y’s annual, nationwide initiative designed to inspire all youth, parents, and caregivers —regardless of membership status— to get active and make healthy choices over the summer and beyond.

The YMCA of Greater Kansas City is hosting the Y’s annual Healthy Kids Day® Saturday, April 29 encouraging families to take a moment to help kids be kids and set them up for a summer of success. The day-long event will feature activities such as games, demonstrations, arts and crafts and more to motivate and teach families how to develop and maintain healthy routines.

Come for the run and stay for the fun! This is a great, family friendly race held in conjunction with the Amelia Earhart Festival in Atchison, which is back this year! Choose from the challenging 8K run/walk that provides some hills to test your training, or the 2K, which is mostly flat with one uphill and one downhill, perfect for aspiring runners/walkers! It is chip timed with finishers medals given to help enhance those bragging rights! The race begins and ends at the Atchison Family YMCA.
