About

Blue Wave strives to be one of the best Kansas City swim teams where swimmers, coaches and parents work together to develop first-class swimmers and youth who embody the Y core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility.
As part of the Y, the KC Blue Wave offers excellent training facilities and additional benefits with Y membership, including dry land activities and trainers to support swimmers to continue conditioning outside of the water.
In addition to our USA Swimming competitive team, the KC Blue Wave Swim Team has a club team where swimmers learn all the competitive strokes and still participate in swim meets, but in a more recreational environment. Swimmers can choose to transition from the club team to the USA Swimming team, or stay on the the club team on a long-term basis.
