Summer School Before & After Care

Stay & Play

Enjoy new adventures, lasting friendships and lots of fun after district-led summer school programs end for the day.

Registration opens February 27, 2024

The Y provides after care during district summer school programs at select school districts. Like Youth Day Camp, participants can explore a variety of interests and have fun along the way. Activities include arts and crafts, science and technology, nature and more.

Lee's Summit School District

AGES: 5-Entering 5th Grade
 

GRADES: Entering Kindergarten - Entering 5th Grade
DAYS: Monday - Friday
TIME: Before School: 6:30 a.m. - start of school | After School: school dismissal - 6 p.m. 
 

Before and after summer school care is available from May 29 - June 28, 2024. (No programs on June 19.) Students must be enrolled in Summer Learning Institute with the district to attend.

June 3-7

Teamwork Makes the Dream Work: Campers will have the chance to explore acts of kindness and how much we can achieve when we work together. Learn what it means to serve family, friends and neighbors in positive ways.

June 10-14

Paris Week: Say “Bonjour!” to summer! Be inspired by adventures found in the wonderful city of Paris - from the Eiffel Tower, Seine River and the Louvre.  We’ll reach new heights, get wet and stay cool through it all!

June 17-21

Celebrating Heroes: Help us save the world! Children enjoy a week of fun activities and games as we celebrate all kinds of heroes, from comic books to real life heroes! Explore what makes a hero a hero.

June 24-28

Around the World: Campers will face off throughout the week to see who has what it takes to raise their color flag. A variety of games, challenges and other great activities that include art, music and multicultural learning will be offered.

Platte County School District

AGES: 5-12
 

GRADES: Kindergarten-5th Grade
DAYS: Monday - Friday
TIME: Before School: 6:30-8:30 a.m. | After School: 12-6 p.m.
