Summer may be winding down, but we're sending it off with one last celebration and you're invited!
Join us on Saturday, September 19, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. for the Platte County South YMCA's So Long, Summer Block Party, a free, family-friendly event filled with fun, community, and activities for all ages.
Whether you're a longtime YMCA member or visiting us for the first time, this event is the perfect opportunity to connect with local families, meet community organizations, and enjoy a morning packed with entertainment.
What to Expect
There will be something for all ages to enjoy, including:
- Local vendors and community partners
- Bounce houses
- Dunk tank
- Face painting
- Bubble station
- Free hot dogs and refreshments (while supplies last)
- Family games and activities
- Live entertainment on the main stage
- Exciting raffle prizes
Our community partners and vendors will also be providing hands-on activities, giveaways, and information about the many resources available throughout the Kansas City area.
More Than Just a Fun Day
The So Long, Summer Block Party is about bringing our community together. It's a chance for families to create memories, discover all the YMCA has to offer, and connect with organizations that support healthy, active lifestyles.
Whether your children are bouncing through inflatable obstacle courses, getting their faces painted, or trying their luck at the dunk tank, there will be plenty of opportunities to laugh, play, and celebrate the close of another great summer.
