Participate in a Service Project at any Y Location on MLK Day

YMCA of Greater Kansas City
January 2, 2018
YMCA Volunteer Book Drive

The Y is so much more than a place to go; we're working together to give back to our community. Help us make our community stronger by participating in a fun, family-friendly service project at your local Y as part of the Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service. All 14 YMCA of Greater Kansas City locations will host an interactive service project from 9 a.m.-noon on Monday, January 15. Everyone is welcome to come in and give back.

This special city-wide project will create greeting cards for community members for local assisted living facilities, hospitals, and foster homes. Many Y locations will feature additional service opportunities; check the event calendar for your Y for more information.

Looking for additional ways to get involved? Volunteer opportunities are available through the Y throughout the year. Learn more about our Togetherhood program that connects Y members to service projects, or explore our volunteer project catalog for a complete list of volunteer opportunities available through the Y.
