Join your friends to watch "Wonka" - Armed with nothing but a hatful of dreams, young chocolatier Willy Wonka manages to change the world, one delectable bite at a time. Bring your own snack and drink if you want one, popcorn will be provided. Space is limited to 18 for this showing so register early at the Welcome Center or online. This event is FREE.

Join a fun-filled day trip to Wamego, KS, home of the land of Oz. Our first stop will be to the Oz Museum where we will see over 2,000 items on exhibit there from the beloved film, The Wizard of Oz. Marvel at the memory-filled collectables, wondrous props, era Interpretations of the film and a fantastic gift shop. After the guided tour, we will lunch at the Friendship House, followed by a wine flight at the Oz Winery. In addition, you will have time to check out the town of Wamego. If you want to participate in the TOTO statue scavenger hunt that will be available too. Tour price includes round trip motor coach transportation, lunch, wine tasting, tour of Oz Museum and staff escort. Minimum of 35 participants to take the trip at this price, maximum of 45 spots available. Secure yours by paying at the Welcome Center or registering online.

Early-bird registration goes through April 25, price increases to $135 after. Members are welcome to bring family members or guests on this trip. Bus departs the Olathe Family YMCA at 8:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 9, and returns around 5:00 p.m. Driver's gratuity ($2-$3 suggested) is not included.

During this book club, the group will discuss A Simple Favor by Darcey Bell. This book is a remarkable tale of psychological suspense—a clever and twisting free-fall of a ride filled with betrayals and reversals, twists and turns, secrets and revelations, love and loyalty and murder and revenge. Darcey Bell masterfully ratchets up the tension in a taut, unsettling and completely absorbing story that holds you in its grip until the final page.
 
You are welcomed to bring your lunch or snacks, and guests are always welcomed! All participants must bring their own copy of A Simple Favor.

Join us for a day-trip of exploring Kansas City to see how many 5' heart sculptures from local artists we can find during the Parade of Hearts. Ride in comfort as we explore the Riverfront, Downtown and Overland Park areas to name a few. We will even make a surprise stop for a treat! You have the opportunity to get off the bus to walk around and see the hearts. If you want to stay on the bus and just take in Kansas City, that is also an option! Our motor-coach departs the Olathe Family YMCA at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 4, and returns around 3:30 p.m. The tour includes round-trip motor-coach transportation, surprise treat and staff escort.

Lunch will be on our own so pack a lunch or you can grab something to go from a restaurant around the heart sites. This way we have more time to explore Kansas City. You can bring a cooler with snacks and drinks. NO glass containers are allowed on the bus!

Price per person is $43 if paid by May 29; $53 thereafter. Driver's gratuity ($2-$3 suggested) is not included.

Squabbles: The good, the bad, and the in-laws. Jerry and Alice are happily married, then her father moves in with them, then his mother moves in with them then all heck breaks loose! Tickets to the show include a generous meal, choice of coffee, tea or soft drink and staff escort. Transportation is on your own, and parking is free. Payment secures your ticket. Y members are welcomed to invite friends and family to join them.

Disney's Newsies musical spins the inspirational tale of Jack Kelly - a charismatic newsboy who dreams of a better life. When the unscrupulous newspaper tycoon, Joseph Pulitzer, raises prices at the newsboys' expense, Jack along with spitfire reporter, Katherine Plummer, rouse the downtrodden "newsies" to stand up against Pulitzer and fight for what's right!
