Join Jennifer and Rex Hudler's Team up for Down Syndrome and support a great cause as the Royals take on the Indians at Kauffman Stadium.

Rex and Jennifer Hudler's Team Up for Down Syndrome raises the public's awareness both locally and nationally, of the positive contributions that individuals with Down Syndrome make in our society. They are dedicated to strengthening and empowering those with special needs to help them and their families reach their full potential. $5 of each ticket purchased through this link will go to Rex and Jennifer Hudler's Team Up for Down Syndrome benefitting the Kansas City area special needs community. 

This year's Special Day at the K honoree is the Y's Challenger Program.

Eating Smart•Being Active offers research-based information about nutrition, physical activity, food safety and making the most of your food dollars. It is a FREE program provided by University of Missouri Extension Family Nutrition Education Programs. Interactive lessons focus on simple messages related to food, nutrition and tips for feeding your family. Lessons include free food tastings and items that reinforce lesson topics. A certificate of completion will also be awarded at the end of the program.

Pom Dancing - October Session

Join in on the fun! Participants will learn basic Pom dance techniques and routines, in a fun safe atmosphere. Each student will receive a t-shirt. Participants will also have opportunities to perform at YMCA events and a showcase.

Tom & Harry: The Boss and the President goes into great detail about the complex relationship between Harry Truman and Political Boss Tom Pendergast. Terence O’Malley will speak about the Pendergast Machine and Harry Truman’s participation in it. Cost: $5.

Our highly trained instructors give kids and teens a safe, supportive environment for learning the fundamentals of tumbling. Tumblers work on balance, flexibility and routines, building from basic moves to more advanced techniques for older kids. No previous experience required.

Please join us for our Career Readiness Program suited for students and families who are interested in learning about the insides of college, trade schools and other job opportunities that do not require a college degree, and interview and resume building tips and tricks. We will have guest speakers from around the area discuss on these topics throughout the week!
