The Y is working to help ensure that our community has access to fresh, nutritious food through Mobile Pantry food distribution programs in partnership with Harvesters. The programs address a growing need for those unsure where their next meal will come from. 

Participants stay in their vehicles while volunteers load fresh produce, canned goods and a variety of other non-perishable items into their vehicles. All in need are welcome. The Mobile Food Pantry at the North Kansas City YMCA occurs on the first Friday of each month.

Red Cross Lifeguard Course

Gain the skills to save a life in American Red Cross Lifeguard Training. In this course for ages 15 and older, learn how to keep people safe in and around the pool. The comprehensive course offers up-to-date information on how to guard by anticipating and preventing problems before they occur and how to take action to help those in danger when necessary. The course includes accident prevention, guarding techniques, pool management and even more safety skills.
 
Friday: 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Saturday: 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

At the Y, we know parents need a break from time to time. With Kids Night Out, parents enjoy a night out while kids, ages 3 to 11, engage in fun and safe activities at the Y. Kids enjoy games, crafts, dinner, swimming and more centered around a unique monthly theme. Check-in is from 4:30 to 5 p.m. The program starts promptly at 5 p.m. and doors will be locked at that time, as the center will be closed. *3 year old's must be potty-trained. 

AOA Field Trip: Hermann, Missouri
