Gain the skills to save a life in American Red Cross Lifeguard Training. In this course for ages 15 and older, learn how to keep people safe in and around the pool. The comprehensive course offers up-to-date information on how to guard by anticipating and preventing problems before they occur and how to take action to help those in danger when necessary. The course includes accident prevention, guarding techniques, pool management and even more safety skills.
 
Friday: 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Saturday: 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. 
Sunday: 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Free class for older adults who are MEMBERS of the Y and are concerned about falling or have fallen.This class will help with viewing falls as controllable, setting goals for increased activity and improving balance, flexibility and strength. You can make changes at home to reduce fall risk. Class is led by a North Kansas City Hospital Registered Nurse.

This class is for those who want to increase activity and exercise and can walk independently (a cane is okay). Not appropriate for those with dementia.

Class is 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. every Monday, March 27 through May 15.

Free class for older adults who are members of the Y and are concerned about falling or have fallen or those who want to increase activity and exercise. Participant can walk independently (a cane is okay.) Class is not appropriate for those with dementia. Learn to view falls as controllable, set goals for increased activity, improve balance, flexibility and strength and make changes at home to reduce fall risk.

Class is led by a North Kansas City Hospital Registered Nurse and occurs 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. every Monday, April 3 through May 22.

The Y is working to help ensure that our community has access to fresh, nutritious food through Mobile Pantry food distribution programs in partnership with Harvesters. The programs address a growing need for those unsure where their next meal will come from. 

Participants stay in their vehicles while volunteers load fresh produce, canned goods and a variety of other non-perishable items into their vehicles. All in need are welcome. The Mobile Food Pantry at the Cleaver Family YMCA occurs on the third Tuesday of each month.

Join your friends to watch "A Man Called Otto," at Anthology of Olathe, 101 W. 151st Street, Olathe. When a lively young family moves in next door, grumpy widower Otto Anderson meets his match in a quick-witted, pregnant woman named Marisol, leading to an unlikely friendship that turns his world upside down. Bring your own snack (popcorn will be provided) and drink if you want one. Space is limited to 18 for this showing so register early at the Welcome Center or online. This event is FREE.
 
Anthology will require a mask in the common areas.

This thrilling, smash-hit Broadway musical takes you inside Sun Recording Studio for an unforgettable night of rock ‘n’ roll, inspired by the famed recording session that brought together rock ‘n’ roll icons Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis and Carl Perkins for the first and only time. On December 4, 1956, these four young musicians gathered at Sun Records for one of the greatest jam sessions ever. "Million Dollar Quartet" brings that legendary night to life featuring a score of rock hits including “Blue Suede Shoes,” “Fever,” “That’s All Right, Mama,” “Sixteen Tons,” “Great Balls of Fire,” “Whole Lotta Shakin Goin’ On,” “Who Do You Love,” “Hound Dog” and many more!
 
Cost: $38 per person. All sales are final.
