Relief is here for families. Families can now enroll in Y Club Academy before and after school programs and full-day Y Learning Academy programs in Kansas at no cost through December 30, 2020! 

Any family whose school is offering remote or virtual learning options qualifies to attend these programs for free. Programs offer a solution for working families needing school-age child care or any family seeking academic support as a result of the changes from COVID-19.

• Before and After School - Y Club Academy now offers learning support and academic enrichment for grades K-6 in a fun environment with new health and safety protocol. State-licensed with qualified, trained staff. Located in the child’s school in the Blue Valley, Bonner Springs, Lansing, Piper, Shawnee Mission and Spring Hill Districts.
   
• Full-Day - Y Learning Academy provides in-person support for virtual learning. Learning Coaches support each student with virtual learning assignments from their school, and deliver the Y’s holistic youth development curriculum. Sites include Church of the Resurrection locations, Colonial Church, Johnson County Community College and Joe E. Amayo Argentine Community Center.

  Register for the program(s) you need. No payment will be required at the time of registration. The discount will automatically be applied to your account. However, you must provide payment info for when the discount ends and programs return to regular weekly fees in January 2021.

If you are already enrolled in Y Learning Academy or Y Club Academy but are not receiving a 100% discount: 

The discount will be applied to your account. You will receive an email from the YMCA of Greater Kansas City with an update.

Application Process

The discounted rates will be in effect through December 30, 2020. Discounts will be applied to upcoming weeks of care through the end of the year. Programs will return to regular weekly fees in January 2021.

The Y will accept applications until funding is depleted.
