At the Y, we believe every child deserves to feel confident and safe in the water. Stories like this remind us why swim lessons are so much more than learning strokes—they’re about building courage, trust, and lifelong skills.
Our swim lesson sessions are offered in two formats:
Please bring a swimsuit, towel, and goggles (without a nose mask) to each lesson.
Note: Young children must wear a swim diaper under their swimsuit.

For kids ready to take their swim skills to the next level, Parkville Piranhas Swim Club provides an opportunity to work on strokes, build endurance and participate in meets in a positive and fun atmosphere. This semi-competitive group is ideal for swimmers who have completed swim lessons, have a knowledge of the four competitive strokes and may have an interest in participating on a competitive swim team in the future.
