YMCA of Greater Kansas City
August 10, 2017

The YMCA of Greater Kansas City appointed Angie Williams as senior vice president of member engagement and a member of the senior leadership team.

Williams brings more than 20 years of experience working for YMCAs in executive and membership operations.

In her position at the YMCA of Greater Kansas City, Williams leads member engagement strategies and organizational partnerships that drive corporate wellness programs.

Most recently she served as the executive director of corporate relations and community outreach for the YMCA of the Pikes Peak Region in Colorado Springs, Colo. beginning in 2013. During that time, she increased corporate membership and wellness program accounts significantly. Her experience also includes executive director roles with Ys in the Colorado Springs area where she passionately supported the lives of members and the community through a variety of programs and activities.

“Angie’s passion for helping others on their journey is only one of the reasons we thought she’d be a terrific fit for YMCA of Greater Kansas City,” said John Mikos, executive vice president and chief operating officer. “With her experience, we look forward to building new relationships and developing creative corporate wellness programs all throughout the metro area.”

Angie is a certified lifestyle coach and serves as a coach for the New Branch Executive Institute, The Executive Development Program and as a 360 Leadership Assessment Coach. She also is a faculty trainer for YUSA and through that national experience will be able to enhance local Kansas City staff development by serving as an internal staff trainer.

Williams is most proud of her contribution to the 2017 Emerging Multicultural Leadership Experience as a co-chair and as a mentor in the Multicultural Mentoring Program where she was able to showcase her leadership skills on behalf of the Y within the community.
