Just Keep Swimming
When kids are committed to swimming as a primary activity, joining Swim Team provides opportunities for growth through setting and meeting goals and learning good sportsmanship in a competitive setting.
Swim Team is for ages 5 to 18, and practices focus on coaching with minimal instruction. Practices are a minimum of 240 minutes a week. Coaches are registered and certified with Missouri Valley Swimming and complete a coach safety training. Meets are sanctioned through Missouri Valley Swimming and cost an additional fee. Some meets are local, while some teams also participate in Missouri Valley regional meets outside of the Kansas City area.

Blue Wave Swim Team
In addition to our Swim Teams hosted by Y centers, our Blue Wave Swim Team offers excellent training facilities and additional benefits with Y membership, including dry land activities and trainers to support swimmers to continue conditioning outside of the water.
