Riverside residents can join the Y for $14.75 per Adult, $22.75 per Household or $6.25 per Teen. In addition to the many great offerings at the Riverside Community Center, you can also experience the Y at any of our 13 locations throughout the greater Kansas City area.

Tai Chi Spirit, Mind, Body

Tai Chi is low impact and puts minimal stress on muscles and joints, making it generally safe for all ages and fitness levels. In fact, because tai chi is low impact, it may be especially suitable if you're an older adult who otherwise may not exercise.

AOA Core Training Active Older Adults

Enjoy fun, low impact exercise as you move through a variety of exercises designed for active older adults. Increase your muscular strength and range of movement, which will help you with activities of daily living. Exercises may use hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles and a ball for resistance.

AOA Chair Yoga Active Older Adults

Move your entire body through yoga poses that are modified using a chair for stability and balance. Yoga promotes relaxation and mental clarity through breathing exercises and gentle body postures. This class is great for people with limited mobility or range of motion.
