Did you know 1 in 6 children in the metro area don’t know where their next meal is coming from? The Y is working to fill this gap with our year-round food programs, including the Mobile Pantry Food Distribution Program at the Olathe Family YMCA.

Through a partnership with Harvesters Food Network, Olathe Medical center and KVC Health Systems, The Y has established this program to help ensure that our community has access to fresh, nutritious food.

On the first Wednesday of every month, Harvesters will deliver perishable food to the Olathe Y parking lot where volunteers will organize and distribute the food directly to vehicles from 2-3:30 p.m. The mobile distribution will be open to any community member in need of food and portions are determined by household size. For more information about the program, call 913.393.9622.
