The YMCA of Greater Kansas City has teamed up with Kansas City Royals infielder Nicky Lopez and Kansas City Credit Union to launch Catch Success – a hands-on financial literacy program that teaches KC kids how to manage their money as a weekly part of the youth Launch Pad program at the Linwood YMCA/James B. Nutter, Sr. Community Center.
Thanks to KCCU for Supporting YMCA Youth!
Every time someone becomes a member of Kansas City Credit Union by opening a savings or checking account, KCCU will donate $50 back to the YMCA!
KCCU kicked off the program with a $10,000 donation to the Linwood Y in June, and presented another $10,000 donation in August at the graduation of the first class of Catch Success participants.
KCCU's goal is a total donation of $50,000 to the YMCA as 1,000 new credit union accounts are opened. For more information, visit Kansas City Credit Union's website.
