The YMCA of Greater Kansas City is thrilled to be selected again as one of United Way of Greater Kansas City's 2026 Impact 100 organizations.
This award comes with unrestricted funding and opportunities to further elevate our mission through United Way. Together, we’re creating a more resilient community where everyone has opportunities to thrive.
Driving Meaningful Impact
United Way partners with local nonprofits, investing to drive meaningful impact through core impact areas of health, youth opportunity, financial security and community resiliency. The annual Impact 100 list recognizes 100 vital health and human service organizations that United Way and our community consider to be meeting community needs and creating positive changes in our region.
The Impact 100 portfolio represents a broad investment in health and human service organizations working to make a meaningful difference in addressing the challenges our community faces today.
“United Way is a trusted community partner, investing resources where they’re needed most,” said Patrick Sallee, United Way of Greater Kansas City President & CEO. “The organizations included in this year’s Impact 100 are incredibly diverse in their reach, populations served and focus areas of work.”
About United Way
United Way of Greater Kansas City’s mission is to mobilize people and resources to improve health, enhance youth opportunity, foster financial security and build community resiliency—so that everyone has the ability to thrive. To do this, United Way invests in the highest-impact nonprofits and programs addressing community need in our seven-county service area; and engineers real-time solutions to our community’s most pressing challenges in collaboration with the public, private and philanthropic sectors. This includes operating 211, our community’s 24/7 resource and referral service which responded to nearly 350,000 contacts in 2025. Every year, 1 in 3 Kansas Citians find help through United Way, and we continue to develop new and innovative ways to connect our community to the services, support and resources people need.
