Join us for a Fall Prevention Lunch and Learn hosted by the Healthcare Resort of Olathe. Jacob Campbell will present what happens after a fall, what makes you likely to fall, and what we can do to prevent falls and exercises that improve your strength and balance. Lunch will be catered by HCRO's chef! You can sign up at the Olathe Family YMCA Welcome Center, (913) 393-9622. If you have an online YMCA account, you can also register online. Must register by September 25 to receive a lunch.

The Y is working to help ensure that our community has access to fresh, nutritious food through Mobile Pantry food distribution programs in partnership with Harvesters. The programs address a growing need for those unsure where their next meal will come from. 

Participants stay in their vehicles while volunteers load fresh produce, canned goods and a variety of other non-perishable items into their vehicles. All in need are welcome. The Mobile Food Pantry at the Olathe Family YMCA occurs on the first Wednesday of each month.

The group will discuss The Book of Lost and Found by Lucy Foley. Alternating between Kate's present-day hunt and voices from the past, The Book of Lost and Found casts light on family secrets and love — both lost and found.
 
You are welcome to bring your lunch or snacks and a guest with you. You must have your own copy of the book.

Join your friends to watch "AIR." Sonny Vaccaro and Nike pursue basketball rookie Michael Jordan, creating a partnership that revolutionizes the world of sports and contemporary culture.
 
Bring your own snack (popcorn will be provided) and drink if you want one. Space is limited to 18 for this showing so register early at the Olathe Family YMCA Welcome Center or online. This event is FREE.

Join us for a daytrip to Weston for wine and cheese. The first stop is the Weston Red Barn Farm, where we will enjoy farm animals, wagon ride, visit to the apple orchard and pumpkin patch. Lunch will be at the Green Dirt Creamery and a visit to the Weston icon, Pirtle's Winery, following by another stop at Jowler Creek, Missouri's first "green" winery and vineyard. Tour price includes round trip motor coach transportation, lunch, wine tastings, Red Barn Farm and staff escort. Min required to go 36. Secure yours by paying at the Welcome Center. No refunds possible after September 25. Members are welcome to bring family members or guests on this trip. Driver's gratuity ($2-$3 suggested) is not included.
 
NOTE: This event is for both Olathe AOA and North Kansas City AOA. The bus will leave from Olathe Family YMCA and stop at North Kansas City YMCA to pick up other members en route to Weston.

Four weddings and a free-for-all! Four dateless teenagers promised to be there for each other for better or worse. Now, more than 30 years later, that promise is put to the test in a series of high-strung, ill-fated and riotous weddings as this quirky quartet looks for love again and again. And again. "Always a Bridesmaid" is a rebel yell to laughter, love and the enduring power of friendship.
 
Cost per ticket is $39 if paid by October 6; $44 thereafter. No refunds after October 6. 
 
Ticket price includes a generous meal and musical show; choice of coffee, tea or soft drink; $2 drink gratuity; and staff escort. Transportation is on your own; parking is free. Y members are welcome to bring friends and family.
