This thrilling, smash-hit Broadway musical takes you inside Sun recording studio for an unforgettable night of Rock ‘n’ Roll inspired by the famed recording session that brought together Rock ‘n’ Roll icons Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis and Carl Perkins for the first and only time. On December 4, 1956, these four young musicians gathered at Sun Records for one of the greatest jam sessions ever. Million Dollar Quartet brings that legendary night to life featuring a score of rock hits including “Blue Suede Shoes,” “Fever,” “That’s All Right, Mama” “Sixteen Tons’” “Great Balls of Fire,” “Whole Lotta Shakin Goin’ On,” “Who Do You Love,” “Hound Dog” and many more.
 
Cost per ticket is $39 if paid by May 11; $44 thereafter. Price includes a generous meal and show; choice of coffee, tea or soft drink; $2 drink gratuity; and staff escort. Transportation is on your own; parking is free. Payment secures your ticket.

Parade of Hearts Day Trip

Just one of 40 Parade of Hearts sculptures. This one is outlined in gold with a navy background and red KC letters. There are gold symbols filling the inside of the heart including jazz musicians, the Lombardi trophy, the Nelson Atkins shuttlecocks, the World Series trophy, and more.

Join us for a day-trip, exploring Kansas City to see how many 5' heart sculptures for local artists we can find during the Parade of Hearts. If you have ever wanted to see Kansas City covered in 40, consider this trip for you. Ride in comfort as we explore the Riverfront, Downtown and Overland Park areas to name a few. We will even make a surprise stop for a treat! You can have the opportunity to get off the bus to walk around and see the hearts. If you want to stay on the bus and just take in Kansas City, that is your choice too! Our motorcoach departs the Olathe Y 9 a.m. Thursday, June 15, and returns around 3 p.m. The tour includes round-trip motorcoach transportation, surprise treat and staff escort.

*Lunch will be on our own so pack a lunch or you can grab something to go from a restaurant around the heart sites. This way we have more time to explore Kansas City. You can bring a cooler with snacks and drinks. NO glass containers are allowed on the bus*

Join us at the New Theatre & Restaurant for a matinee showing of Million Dollar Quartet. Tickets are $40 and include the show, lunch, a choice of coffee, tea, or soft drink, and a built in gratuity for our server. Premium drinks and/or dessert can be purchased separately by participants once at the theater.

We will meet in the lobby at 11:30 a.m. for seating; lunch will be served at 12 p.m., and the show begins at 1 p.m., typically lasting around 3 hours.

PLEASE NOTE: Transportation is not provided. Participants will need to get themselves to the theater and back. Sign up at the Welcome Center by Friday, May 26. Tickets cannot be refunded after this date.
