Dr. Michelle Robin was elected Chief Volunteer Officer of the YMCA of Greater Kansas City at the Board of Directors Annual Meeting on May 18, 2023.  

She follows John Passanisi, whose term as Chief Volunteer Officer began in May of 2020 and ended at the meeting as the gavel was passed to Dr. Robin.

Dr. Michelle Robin, Chief Volunteer Officer, 2023-2024

Dr. Robin has been a member of the Board of Directors since 2014, and has served as the Board Development Committee Chair and on several task groups.

She is the founder of Your Wellness Connection, Small Changes Big Shifts®, Big Shifts Foundation®, and the Kansas City Wellness Consortium. After opening her chiropractic practice in Kansas City over 30 years ago, she became a national influence and leader in the wellness industry, dedicated to helping people find their unique path to wellness and enrich their purpose in life.

She will serve a one-year term.

John Passanisi, Chief Volunteer Officer, 2020-2023

Passanisi, who will continue to serve on the Board of Directors, was recognized for his leadership during the pandemic and serving an additional year beyond the typical two-year term of Board Chair. 

Passanisi joined the Board of Directors on September 20, 2012. Prior to serving as Chief Volunteer Officer, he served as Treasurer, chair of the Audit Committee, and on several task groups. John has nearly 30 years of professional experience and is a partner in Ernst & Young’s Assurance Services practice.
