Survey is Open for Prairie Village Community Center Campus Study

Photo of Prairie Village Community Center Campus Study public meeting on April 4, 2024. Guests look at boards with potential site configuration plans and talk with other guests and representatives from partners.

On Thursday, April 4, the Prairie Village Community Center Campus study project team hosted an in-person public meeting to share potential site configuration options based on community feedback, and opportunities and challenges for each option. Thank you to those who were able to attend!

In case you missed it, there’s still time to weigh in on potential site configurations and provide feedback about your preference.

If you attended the in-person public meeting on April 4 and completed a questionnaire on paper, your feedback has already been recorded. Please do not take the online survey.

If you were unable to attend the public meeting, view the boards and complete the questionnaire to provide your feedback.

Don’t wait! The survey is open until 11:59 p.m. on Friday, April 19, 2024.

About the Study

The City of Prairie Village, the YMCA of Greater Kansas City and Johnson County Library, are moving into the next phase of a multi-year study of a new Prairie Village Community Center Campus in Harmon Park. This phase of the study includes site analysis and considerations, as well as eliciting community feedback about preferences.

The proposed Prairie Village Community Center Campus is south of Shawnee Mission East High School in Harmon Park, between Mission Road and Delmar Street, with W. 79th Street as the southern border. For more information, visit www.pvkansas.com/communitycenter
