To combat historic health inequities in aquatics, GEHA and its partners will provide up to 650 students with free swim lessons and equipment through the Joe Delaney Learn to Swim Program, Presented by GEHA. Lessons will focus on water safety and increasing access to aquatics.

To help ensure parking is available for Kirk Family YMCA members and program participants in our lot, we will begin validating parking on Monday, February 28, 2022. Y members and program participants may park in the lot for up to 3 hours at no cost with validation.

The Y received the Nonprofit Connect Stronger Together award for our partnership with GEHA, The Hunt Family Foundation/Kansas City Chiefs, and the Unified Government of Wyandotte County & Kansas City, KS Parks and Recreation, to prevent drowning through the Joe Delaney Learn to Swim Program.

Applications will be completed on a walk in basis. Last application is taken at 3:15 p.m. No appointment is necessary.
