The group will discuss The Grapes of Wrath, by John Steinbeck. We start the year with a classic, widely considered Steinbeck's masterpiece. The load family is forced from their farm in the Depression-era Oklahoma Dust Bowl and set out for California in search of jobs, land, and hope for the future. You are welcome to bring a guest and your lunch or snacks. You must provide your own copy of the book.

Elvis: Aloha from Vegas traces The King's journey through the '70s. It was a period of reinvention, kicking off a seven-year annual residency at the International Hotel in Las Vegas, running through the sold-out shows at Madison Square Garden, and culminating in a historic international live satellite broadcast from Hawaii, all set to unforgettable songs like "Burning Love," "Suspicious Minds," and of course, "Can't Help Falling in Love."

Cost per ticket is $39 if paid by March 17; $44 thereafter. Price includes a generous meal and show; choice of coffee, tea or soft drink; $2 drink gratuity; and staff escort. Transportation is on your own; parking is free. Payment secures your ticket. Y members are welcomed to invite friends and family to join them. No refunds after March 17.

This year's Christmas field trip takes us to a local tradition "The Plaza Lights." The bus will drive you through the 15-block holiday spectacle on the Country Club Plaza. Before the lights tour, we'll enjoy dinner together at a "mystery" location on the Plaza. After exploring the Country Club Plaza lights, we will make a stop at Crown Center to take some pictures at the Mayor's Christmas Tree.

Stop by the Olathe Y Welcome Center to reserve your spot. Guests are welcomed to go on this trip. Min. of 40 to go on this trip at this price. Max 50 people. No refunds after November 20.

Realtor workaholic Jim Evers and his wife and business partner, Sara, gets a call late one night from mansion owner, Edward Gracey, who is looking to sell his property. Smelling the biggest deal of their career, Jim, Sara and their two children pay a visit to the mansion, located on a remote bayou. A torrential thunderstorm of mysterious origin strands the Evers family in the old mansion with the brooding, eccentric Gracey, his mysterious butler, Ramsley, and a variety of residents both seen and unseen. At first, Jim scoffs at Gracey's stories about ghosts and hauntings, until he unearths the mystery of the mansion and finds that his wife Sara has unexpected connections to its haunted past! Jacob Campbell will present what happens after a fall, what makes you likely to fall, and what we can do to prevent falls and exercises that improve your strength and balance.
