Alzheimer’s Education & Caregiver Support

The YMCA of Greater Kansas City, in partnership with the Alzheimer’s Association | Heart of America Chapter, offers free programs for caregivers, families, and community members at the Kirk Family YMCA in Downtown Kansas City and the Olathe Family YMCA. These sessions are open to the public and designed to provide education, encouragement, and practical support.

Our Programs

Programs include Alzheimer’s education classes on understanding dementia, warning signs, community impact, and brain-healthy habits, as well as The Empowered Caregiver series focused on caregiving foundations, communication, independence, responding to behaviors, and care planning.
