Tina Weaver is an experienced and passionate executive driven by cause-driven results. She offers an entrepreneurial spirit through innovation, inclusion, management and staff development with a strong ability in programming and cultivating key partnerships for strategic development and growth. She has a diverse portfolio of skill sets that include strategic planning, operational effectiveness, strategic alliances, shared services and advocacy.
Tina joined the North Kansas City Y from the YMCA of Western North Carolina in August of 2018. In North Carolina, she served as association director of program development, association director of sports and healthy living director. She currently serves as the YUSA National LGBTQ+ Chair.
Serving our community to help it reach it fullest potential, building bridges and finding common goals is what Tina likes most about being at the Y.
Tina has a bachelor’s in sports management and event and facility management from Western Carolina University and a Master of Business Administration from Lakeland College.
Senior Healthy Living Director
As Senior Healthy Living Director, Maggie enjoys connecting with people from all walks of life and helping them meet their goals. Maggie began her career at the Y in 2012, working as a youth exercise instructor, personal trainer and group exercise instructor. In May 2015, she became the Healthy Living Director at the Paul Henson Family YMCA. In November 2016, she moved into her current role, providing association-wide resources for healthy living.
Maggie grew up in Kansas and Alabama and graduated from the University of Kansas with a Bachelor's degree in Public Administration. She is an ACE certified personal trainer and YMCA certified group exercise instructor. Outside of work, Maggie enjoys camping, kayaking and cheering for the Kansas City Royals and Kansas Jayhawks.
Chase has been with the Y since October 2019, serving as a Program Assistant and Program Coordinator II. He started as the North Kansas City Aquatics Director in July 2021.
His favorite things about working for the Y are serving his community in different areas outside of his normal responsibilities in aquatics and having the opportunity to make an impact in the lives of others.
Chase has been in aquatics for 10 years, beginning as a lifeguard, swim team coach, manager and director in country clubs and parks and recreation departments. He is currently a lifeguard instructor and swim lessons instructor trainer for Y-USA and a CPR instructor through the American Safety and Health Institute.
Chase grew up in Dallas, Texas, and graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia with a bachelors in Conference and Event Planning, with an emphasis on Event Marketing. When he is not at work, he enjoys spending time with friends and finding new places to explore with his husky.
