Ready for Kindergarten
Our Pre-K programs provide a nurturing environment where kids feel safe and supported while learning, growing, making friends and preparing for the world of kindergarten.
TIME: A.M. session 8-11 a.m.; P.M. session 12:15 p.m.-3:10 p.m.; Before and After Care 7-8 a.m. and 3:15-6 p.m.
FEES: $70/week, $100/week with before and after care

Morning and afternoon Pre-K sessions to support your SMSD Pre-K enrollment, plus before and after school care, are available. Flexible options allow you to select the hours of care that you need for your schedule.
Before school care is available prior to the morning session as early as 7 a.m. After school care is available following the afternoon session from 3:15-6 p.m.
To enroll, please download and submit a paper registration form, then download and complete the Emergency Information Packet and bring it to your site on the first day.

You must be enrolled in Shawnee Mission School District Preschool Programs to be eligible for school-year Pre-K programs. Space is limited. To enroll in a preschool program, call the Youth Development Services office at 816.360.3390 to ensure program availability. Download and complete the registration form below and return it using one of the following ways:

In order to attend a Y preschool program, all participants must complete an Emergency Information Packet and bring it to the site on the first day.
Emergency Information Packet
All preschool program participants must complete an Emergency Information Packet. These packets include emergency information and health forms that the State of Kansas require for licensing.
Complete all forms in the packet and take a copy to your child's preschool on the first day. Please keep a completed copy of the Emergency Information Packet for yourself.
