Many now require a mask to be worn at all times for ages 5 and older. See information above in the "Center Hours and Amenities" section for details for your location.
  • Keep Your Distance - Stay at least six feet away from others whenever possible. Look for signage to help.
  • Stay Home if Sick - Keep our community safe. Stay home if you are feeling sick or are vulnerable to illness.

These new rules are in place at our pools:

  • Lap Swimming - limited number of swimmers per lane; maximum 30 minutes; must bring own equipment (fins, kickboards, etc.)
  • Water Group Exercise - physical distancing between participants; some Ys also require a face covering during water exercise classes
  • Face Coverings - must be worn on pool deck and during water exercise classes at some Ys depending on local health department guidelines
  • Limited Amenities - some amenities may not be available depending on local public health guidelines

For Kids Zone the following procedures will be in place:

  • Children will have their temperature taken when they enter the facility, as do all members and associates.
  • Associates will wear face coverings at all times. At many Ys children ages 5 and older are also required to wear face coverings in compliance with local health guidelines.
  • All toys and equipment will be sprayed with disinfectant regularly.
  • High-touch areas will be cleaned hourly.
  • Limited capacity and modified activities will allow for physical distancing between children.
  • A new electronic check-in and check-out procedure will limit contact.

If we learn of a positive COVID-19 case, we follow CDC and local health department guidelines.

Are face masks required?

Yes. Protect yourself and others by wearing a face covering properly over your mouth and nose. Y locations follow local public health guidelines. All Ys require face coverings for entry, in common areas and on the pool deck. Many Ys also require a mask to be worn at all times for ages 5 and older, including during exercise, during water exercise classes and in Kids Zone.

We recommend cotton face masks for exercise. Or you can look for breathable masks designed specifically for exercise. Face shields are also an option while exercising and while in the pool for water exercise.

See information above in the "Center Hours and Amenities" section for details about face covering requirements at your location.

What amenities are available?

As we focus on serving our members who are ready to return, guests will not be permitted, and day passes are not available at this time.

What are you doing to help allow physical distance between members?

The Y is helping members maintain physical distance from one another through the following:

    • New signage to remind members to stay 6 feet apart.
    • Exercise equipment arranged to help provide distance between members.
    • Signage to indicate areas for one-way traffic.
    • Group exercise classes will be in larger spaces and the floor will be marked to allow distance between participants.
    • Water group exercise classes will allow for physical distance between participants.
