Como parte del compromiso de la YMCA con el desarrollo juvenil, la vida saludable y la responsabilidad social, nuestro centro Linwood YMCA/James B. Nutter Community Center ofrece a los jóvenes de la comunidad los siguientes programas de forma gratuita:
Horario: Lunes a Jueves, 2:30 pm a 6:00 p.m.
En este programa los estudiantes de los grados 6º hasta 12º participan en actividades luego de terminar su día en la escuela, mismas que se enfocan en apoyo académico y recreativo.
Martes y Jueves
En este programa los estudiantes de secundaria se enfocan en áreas como el liderazgo, desarrollo de carácter y resolución de conflictos no violentos.
En este grupo los estudiantes de secundaria exploran el bienestar holístico, las habilidades laborales, el desarrollo del liderazgo y la planificación post-secundaria.
En el Club de Robótica los jóvenes de entre 10 a 14 años utilizan la ciencia, la tecnología, la ingeniería y las habilidades matemáticas para construir robots nuevos e innovadores.
En este club, los nuevos y experimentados jugadores de ajedrez se juntan para aprender y desarrollar juntos nuevas habilidades y técnicas.

The Teen Tech Center is a fun, interactive learning space where youth in grades 5-12 can develop workforce skills and college readiness through hands-on activities to explore their interests in programming, coding, e-sports and gaming proficiency, music production and design.
The Teen Tech Center was made possible thanks to donations from Nebraska Furniture Mart, Kansas City Chiefs, Kansas City Credit Union and the Linwood YMCA Community Mission Board.
The interactive space and the equipment is free for young people to use, and a YMCA membership is not required. No previous experience is needed prior to visiting and using the equipment.
School Year Hours: 2-6 p.m. for students enrolled in the Linwood Y’s after school program
Summer Hours: Open to all ages of students from noon-6 p.m. Students in grades 4th and under may use the Teen Tech Center accompanied by an adult in the summer.

We're partnering with Urban Community Connections to bring the Pantry Connection to the Linwood Y. On the second Friday of each month, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., families and individuals in need of food assistance are encouraged to register to receive non-perishable and shelf stable foods.
